FAQ
What are your candles and scents made of?
Our candles are made of 100% natural soy - which contains no palm or paraffin.
Our scented candles are made with quality fragrance oils that contain no phthalate, paraben, formaldehyde and are IFRA-certified.
How long do your candles burn?
For 8 oz candle, it typically burns 40+ hours.
How should I care for my candles?
- The First Burn is Key: For the very first burn, allow the wax to melt all the way to the edges of the jar. This prevents "tunneling" (when the wax burns down the center, leaving wax unmelted around the sides) and promotes an even burn for the candle's lifetime.
- Trim that Wick: Before each burn, trim your wick to about 1/4 inch. This helps prevent excessive flame, smoke, and soot. You can use a wick trimmer or even pinch off the burnt top with your fingers.
- Burn Wisely: Aim for burn times of 3-4 hours maximum. Excessively long burns can overheat the jar and compromise the candle and fragrance.
-
Be Draft-Free: Keep your burning candle away from drafts, vents, or fans. Air currents can cause uneven burning and flickering.
-
Burn safely: Never leave a burning candle unattended and place away from flammable materials, children and pets. Always place candles on a heat-resistant base, and set on a leveled and stable surface.
- Extinguish with Care: Use a candle snuffer or lid to extinguish the flame. This prevents hot wax splatter and smoke.
- Store it Right: Store your soy candles in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to protect the fragrance and wax quality.
Why is my candle 'sweating'?
Our candles are crafted from pure soy wax for a cleaner, eco-friendly burn. You may notice some 'sweating' on the surface during warmer weather. This is a natural characteristic of soy wax and won't affect your candle's performance. Just wipe it off with a paper towel and store the candle in a cool, dry place.
